Westbury is an important railway junction, with trains heading off in no fewer that six different directions. It's on the main London to Plymouth route, and expresses on that line call throughout the day. Local services operated by Wessex Trains leave frequently for Bath and Bristol, and for Salisbury Southamton and Portsmouth. There's also a service to Yeovil, Dorchester and Weymouth, and finally our own local line to Melksham, Chippenham and Swindon which is currently threatened with curtailment
