Novadigm (now part of HP) provide Radia software to enable remote automated updating and maintenance of software across a large number of computers - ideal if you've got a large number of call centre computers, thousands of ATMs, or point of sale systems in every store in the country that all need upgrading at the same time. Radia uses Tcl (the tool control language) to provide the central support engineer with the abiloity to tailor its operation above and beyond the facilities provided in the Radia product as it's shipped - in other words, to provide a local tailoring capability. On our Tcl course, we teach the elements of the language that are needed by Radia users, starting from fundamentals so that users with no prior experience of such tailoring will find the course suitable for their needs.
