Evening in St. Mark's square, Venice. We arrived in Venice late in the afternoon, and only had a couple of hours of light to look around. The Rialto bridge and the canals were seen in the llight, but a fish restaurant rightly tempted us to pause a while and by the time we got to St Mark's it was dark. Fortunately, there was still a great deal of interest to see including the painters who's Venice scenes were bringing the daytime back for us in their pictures.
