Java itself if a programming language. But it's
more than than because Java programs run in a "virtual machine" with
which a whole load of other add-ons ("technologies") are associated.
At
Well House Consultants, we ran
a variery of public Java courses from as early as 1996, and a wider
range of private courses. We currently offer two starter courses -
Java Bootcamp to get you started in
just 4 days, and
Java Programming for the
Web which adds server side programming (servlets, JSPs, interfacing
to databases etc) to the agenda.
We run a public
Deploying Apache httpd
and Tomcat course - 2 days - which overs the installation, setup
and integration of the two servers through various connectors. This
course is ideal for system administrators who'll be looking after
systems running Java applications (servlets or JSPs) under Tomcat.
For Administrators who are NOT familiar with Linux but will be
deploying Java applications under that operating system, we also
offer a
Deploying Java applications
on Linux and Unix program.
Our basic Java training notes are available for
free download if
you would like to follow these courses in your own time
Java is written and maintained by Sun Microsystems, and is now Open Source.
Tomcat and httpd are also Open Source projects which are
maintained and downloaded via the
Apache Software Foundation.
