I am currently on the faculty at FSU in the College of Business teaching a senior level class in International Financial Management and junior level class in Corporate Finance. I also work at the Tallahassee State Bank as Senior Vice President and the Chief Lending Officer. I am married to the former Hollis Henderson of Pensacola, Fl and we have one son, Jeff, who is completing his junior year at the Wakulla High School. He was fortunate to receive his mother's talents and good looks and is an accomplished musician. We presently live in a coastal community near Tallahassee in a house that Hollis and I built ourselves (we pounded all the nails). As I reflect on my life today, I am reminded that my "tour of duty" in Carlisle was one of the guiding forces of my life. The friendships and the memories are still with me today. From Coach "H. T. Ravis" aka "Ike Eyes" aka Harold Travis to the Harper Family, Bowman Family, Trooper and Tanker and on and on. She is engaged to be married in June of 2009. Elizabeth, 20, is a Junior at Mansfield University and is pursuing a degree in nursing. Austin, 19, is a sophomore at Pittsburgh University and is undecided as far as a career. We have just completed our first year as 'empty nesters' and are still adjusting. We still reside in Mt. Marriage the second time around really agrees with me. Joe and I have been together over 10 years. Together we have a daughter and 4 sons. The lone girl recently married a local boy who just returned from 15 months in Iraq. Our sons, range in age from 22 - 32. Oldest works for Cumberland County Dispatch and has given us 2 beautiful granddaughters. Next one is an extremely hard working mechanic who blessed us with the happiest little grandson last year. The two youngest, both named Michael, has one still in college, and one serving in the Army, also recently returned after 15 months in Iraq. Ironically, both of our soldiers were stationed at the same base in Washington state and spent the same 15 months in Iraq. And in 15 months they only ran into each other once. Joe and I recently acquired my father's home after his passing. So I am back in Chapel Hill. We spend much of our time renovating. Luckily, Joe is terrific at that. We also enjoy camping, motorcycle riding, and having friends and family over for small and large parties.
